New York Beckons for Irish Franchise Entrepreneur

A Wexford based entrepreneur will travel to the world’s largest franchise exhibition in New York next month, with the intention of expanding his successful franchise portfolio.

Karl Fitzpatrick, who is also the Managing Director of a leading employment service provider, Chevron Training and Recruitment, acquired the Master Franchise rights for Bricks 4 Kidz in Ireland in 2015.

Bricks 4 Kidz is an internationally renowned children’s educational play franchise which currently operates in over 40 countries worldwide.  The franchise specialises in the development and delivery of curriculum based programmes, to teach Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths (STEM) to children through imaginative and stimulating LEGO® activities.

Mr. Fitzpatrick was confident that the enduring popularity of LEGO® would ensure that Bricks 4 Kidz was an instant hit within the Irish market. “LEGO® has earned and maintained its reputation as the world’s most powerful brand and for generations, it has been the toy of choice for children across the globe”.  “Bricks 4 Kidz has successfully fused the fun and educational qualities of LEGO®, to create a unique, age-appropriate concept which is bringing STEM education to the masses”, stated Mr. Fitzpatrick.

With a presence in South and North Dublin, as well as the flagship creativity centre in Wexford town, Bricks 4 Kidz is now in the process of recruiting new franchise partners around the country and is already in advanced talks to bring the innovative concept to Tipperary, Galway, Limerick and Meath.

Last year, Karl invested in a complimentary children’s educational play franchise, when he introduced Sew Fun Studios to Ireland. This franchise concept teaches sewing, fashion and design skills to children.

Now, ahead of the International Franchise Expo in New York, Mr. Fitzpatrick, a director with the Irish Franchise Association, is searching for a further children’s educational play franchise that will prove to be popular with an Irish audience.  “Franchising offers a proven business model, which has the ability to generate substantial revenues and job opportunities for the national economy and with over 400 franchise businesses under the one roof, I am looking forward to identifying the innovations and emerging business ideas which could achieve success in Ireland”, added Mr. Fitzpatrick.

The International Franchise Expo will take place in the The Javits Center, New York from June 15th – June 17th 2017.
